Share God's love with Flat Jesus and JOY Rocks!

FLAT JESUS

Who is Flat Jesus?

The original “flat” character was Flat Stanley, star of a book by Jeff Brown in which a boy has remarkable adventures after waking up to discover he is flattened to half-an-inch thick. This was the beginning of the Flat Stanley projects in schools to help children with literacy, geography, and other subjects.  Flat Jesus stems from this fun and creative activity.

FLAT JESUS reminds us that Jesus is with us always wherever we go and whatever we do. Create a Flat Jesus and take him with you this summer.  Take pictures of all the places he has been and share them with the church office.

How to create your very own Flat Jesus

Take the Flat Jesus and color, cut him out, and even laminate him.  This is a fun project for everyone - moms, dads, grandparents, kids, and friends.

What to do with your Flat Jesus

1.     Take your Flat Jesus with you anywhere and everywhere.  Flat Jesus packs easily, weighs nothing, and is quick to pull out and put away (e.g. use him as a bookmark or put him in your car).

2.     Take a photograph of him by himself or with others.  Take a pic of him in your garden, with your pet or at the coffee shop.  The possibilities are endless.

3.    In a few words tell us who you are where your Flat Jesus is.

4.     Email your pictures to celc.mainoffice@gmail.com.

5.     Look for your Flat Jesus on the church website within a couple days.

We look forward to hearing about your adventures!

Joy Rocks!

·        Take a picture of your rock and leave it in its new home for someone else to find

·        Email the church at celc.mainoffice@gmail.com where you left it.  Be sure to include your rock number, the location where you left it, and your picture

·        Keep an eye on the church website to follow your rock’s adventures as it travels around sharing God’s love and joy!
